Recently, Elise has created this audition poster advertising upcoming auditions for mine and Elise's film trailer that she put up around our college. She used bright contrasting colours that are very bold against the white background. Along with the image, I think this poster is very eye catching, exactly what we need it to be.

Research and Planning - Animated Storyboard
This is our animated storyboard so far, however, this is still a draft. When it comes to filming out actual trailer we might think of new additional scenes we want to include, so the layout might change.

Research and Planning - Possible Actors/Actresses
Because our film consists of a number of people being in the cast, I have been asking some of my friends if they would like to take part. So far, I have managed to find 6 people that are interested in auditioning/being apart of our trailer.

Danny Hart - Annie Rudd - Sophie Connell - Lucy Winston - Lauren Entwistle - Iseabail Dimond
(I contacted all of these people before hand asking for their permission to use these photographs on my blog - they all said yes)
Research and Planning - Audience Research on Name
Before I start drawing my drafts for my film poster (even though I have already got a couple of designs in mind) I would like to agree on a name. One of the film names me and Elise came up with and really like is "Identity". However, before we fully decide upon using this name we both need to individually collect audience feedback on "Identity" to ensure we are making the right decision. I used twit longer to write about the plot of the film and a few questions about the possible name ideas. From there, twit longer posted this onto my twitter and I also posted an extra tweet asking people to have a look.
Research and Planning - Animated Storyboard Update
Here is an up to date photo of mine and Elise's animatic story board. We have drawn over 53 shots and started placing them onto iMovie. So far we have 1 minute 55 seconds worth of footage and still have a number of shots to go! (Elise is currently making a draft piece of music on garageband to add to the animated storyboard)

Research and Planning - Film Poster Analysis'
Gone Girl:

A Medium long shot shows Ben Affleck standing next to a river. The positioning of the shot and the landscape surrounding suggests that he is quite an isolated character, as well as representing him as not being dependent on anyone else. Part of his body has a 'bad connection'/static television effect to it which could suggest a key part of this film is media related. Moreover, shown through the news headline near the bottom of the page "FOX NEWS: SEARCH FOR AMAZING AMY CONTINUES" this theme is continued. Furthermore, this could also suggest that our protagonists (?) is unstable in some way, giving an eerie feel to the film. Both this, the title and the colours (blue/black/white) suggests that the genre of this film is a thriller as it has a cold atmosphere to it. I wouldn't think it was a horror film as there is nothing I find 'scary' about the poster. The narrative of this film is quite clearly given through the name and the faded eyes in the background. A woman, somehow linked to the man, has gone missing. The title is also faded, further suggesting this idea of the woman being missing. I would guess that this film has an audience rating of 15+ as it doesn't look like it would appeal to anyone under that age.
The Maze Runner:
A long shot is used to show a number of the characters, running up and away from the Maze. The slight tilt and large Maze walls behind/surrounding them represents these characters as being in a highly vulnerable and dangerous situation. However, despite this the characters appearance (from clothing to facial expression) also suggests them as being strong and determined, attempting to escape the Maze (Narrative). Both the name title and the colours (blue/green) suggest that the genre for this film is action/thriller, aimed at young audiences (possibly 12/12a) due to the young cast.

Research and Planning - Location Test Shots
Here are some location test shots where me and Elise plan to film part of our trailer (where the body will be found, as well as some after/following scenes of our main characters returning to the field making the audience question what they are up to). This is situated behind Elise's house, and has a very eerie feel to it, especially at this time of year.
